About Me

The basics
Karen has been training to become a clinical psychologist at the University of Queensland, Australia. She has also had research training at the Centre of Adolescent Health, Murdoch Children's Research Institute, Melbourne, Australia and the Social Developmental Research Group, University of Washington, Seattle.

Throughout her training she has worked with adults, young adults, children and families with a range of presentations including depression, anxiety, psychosis, behavioural disorders, ASD, ADHD, etc. Her current research interests involve the roles of families in the prevention of youth substance use and other high risk behaviours. As well as this, she has been active in children church ministry for a number of years. Karen is hoping to specialize in child and family clinical psychology.
